I tried my hand at something creepy to support a friends Indiegogo campaign! He's a recent film graduate, and he's working hard to make this short. The script was written by a another good friend, and I can vouch its going to be good if we can get some help. Plus aren't you dying to know what's in that box?
Update: You can now support the film by buying a signed print of this piece for only 10$ or 20$ depending on the size. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/in-hydria

Incase you haven't gathered from my blog, I love surfing. Surfing in october in San Francisco seems to be particularly nice, so much so that I often draw/paint surfing related stuffs. Hope you like!
The people out there can be inspiring.

This is a preview from my work in this book! I feel really lucky that i'm able to participate in this. It's 8 amazing artists that were at Lucasfilm at one point, creating art for their own stories!
Will Nichols, Jp Balmet, Chris Voy, Nate Watson, Max Lim, Jeff Sangalli, Amy Beth Christenson Smith, and Myself. The book is going to be released next month at Comic-con in San Diego, but you can also preorder it here.
*Update: Jeff Sangalli has a blog! You're going to want to bookmark this one.

So some crazy stuff has happened recently (here's a bit more info if you haven't heard it from me already) . In short, I'm looking for any and all animation opportunities. So I want to start building a new portfolio, and wanted to take a super simple story and try to do some visual development work for it as if I were building a real project. So i'm working on a version of three little pigs! So this is in progress, and I may change the designs as things evolve/ as I decide what would be fun to do next. Let me know what you think, and if you know of any sweet visual developement gigs please email me!!

This painting was for my wonderful sister who just had a little boy on Wednesday! He is my first nephew, so it's pretty awesome, I couldn't be there in person but I got the painting done to greet him at least. My sister and her husband chose the awesome swamp theme and helped choose a direction from a few sketches. My mom made a matching gator quilt to top it all off. So yeah one spoiled little dude! It was acrylic on wood panel 18 by 24 in.

Hey there, I know it's been forever. Surprisingly my lack of posts is not entirely due to laziness, I've been spending most of my free time on a book project I'm doing with some coworkers that should be really cool, which is the main reason I've been ghost protocol.
Above are watercolor sketches I did during my trip to the Florida Keys last week which was a blast! The Gator just kind of came out as I was watching swamp people and doing preliminary sketches for a swamp piece I'm working on for my future nephew! I'll try to get more stuff for fun/practice up here on the blog while I work on all my other projects!
